Startup History Walk
In 1859, when thousands of would-be miners rushed to Colorado in the hopes of striking it rich, another brand of economic emigrant traveled alongside.
No less flush with gold fever, these entrepreneurs discovered opportunity in the space between, founding general stores, boarding houses, and bordellos — among many other businesses — to cater to pioneers both rich and poor.
From these early days to the gold rush afoot today in technology, energy and education, Denver is a town familiar with the boom and bust of entrepreneurship, as we’ll show you in our startup walk.
Stay tuned as we design this walk in the coming months.
Kids 12 and under come free! (Aspiring entrepreneurs especially welcome.)
